Journey planner

Trying to work out the best way to get from A to B by bicycle? The Transport Direct journey planner lets you search for the quickest, quietest or most recreational route, and provides directions and a map of the route.

Mobile phone applications

There are several applications which allow you to access or download cycle routes on your phone. These include:

  • Sustrans national cycle network app - free app available for iPhone and Android which enables you to access over 25,000 miles of walking and cycling network across the UK, anytime anywhere.
  • ViewRanger - a mobile phone app which costs £1.79 to download. 49 Shropshire routes are available to download to your phone for a small charge. These are mostly from our Market Towns Cycle Rides series. We've also added a couple of free routes for you to sample: Wildlife and waterways and A cycle tour of Shrewsbury Town FC.
